Let me introduce my new best friend!
Kiss your skin and feel better!
Hello, I hope you are keeping going and reading this for a bit of light relief. I cannot deny that I have struggled to get out of bed and face the day recently. I am trying to pull it back though and focusing on all that I have to be grateful for, diffusing the life out of Rosemary & Grapefruit and accepting that it’s all part living through Lockdown.
Initially I was very intrigued about new Hydrating Essence and what it would do for my skin. Being a Beauty Junkie I decided to research trends within skincare and here is what I have discovered:
Essences are a part of the K (short for Korean) Beauty Skincare routine which is a 10 step (!) routine focused upon taking great care of the skin in order to create clear and naturally beautiful skin. The routine is a form of self-care and designed to protect the skin from damage and to keep it healthy.
Thankfully not all of the 10 steps (such as exfoliating and applying a mask) need to be repeated every day however, the Essence step should be. Essences are sometimes called ‘magic water’ as they are super-hydrating. They are a hybrid between a toner & a serum. They should be the first thing that’s applied to the skin after cleansing and before any treatment products.
It’s a beautiful bottle of brimming with wondrous ingredients to naturally soften & smooth your skin whilst super-charging your treatment products…
The Essence is clear and thick, like a watery gel and it smells incredible with a divine blend of Frankincense, Neroli, Bergamot & Mandarin essential oils. One of the active natural ingredients is purified pomegranate extract which restores the natural flow of water to the skin – who knew! There is also superior quality hyaluronic acid which I know from my Beauty Training days, is a moisture magnet. Plus argan oil to condition the skin.
It came into my life late on Friday evening and I am so impressed at the effect that it has had on my skin that I’ve used it twice daily ever since and now would not be without it. It really is noticeably beneficial to my skin, leaving it very soft and smooth. Plus, it also improves the efficacy of my beloved Lift Serum. It has to be tried to be believed and so far, I’ve posted out over 40 samples - probably because it’s the season for skin nourishment.
I said last week that I would create a Skincare Sample Panel with the first 10 people that ask to join. If you do join the panel then I will post you a skincare selection that includes the Essence together with other award-winning Neal’s Yard skincare products so that you can take some time to treat your skin, relax and put my gushing appraisal to the test. All I ask in return is that you share the effect it has on your skin. Please get in touch before Friday 26th February if you would like to join the panel.
Next week I will focus on sleep and share my evening ritual for a restful night as well as my business ambitions for this summer, exciting times are ahead…
Thank you for reading, Amy x
